Taking care of shoes during the rainy season

          If your shoes are wet and smelly until they become moldy because of rain, then you should try to take care of the shoes as follow.

For wet shoes

          Clean water should be used for external part. You do not use soap or detergent. Then, you dry with a clean towel. Shoes should be dry by wind but not the sunlight. Shoes should be tilted 45 degrees to the floor, with the heel on the floor. You should always pour the water out until the shoes are completely dry. Then, you can apply the polishing cream and put them under the light sun for 2 hours. For foundation parts inside, if it is detachable, you can use the same way to wash and dry them. Importantly, wet shoes should not be used until completely dry because it will cause the leather to stretch and lose its shape.

For moldy shoes

          You can use a cotton to wipe it clean. After that, you apply the polishing cream and leave it under the sun for a while. Then, you do the second round of polishing cream, dry and polish again. For moldy shoes, it must be kept under the sun for at least 2 weeks at a time, especially in the rainy season. Humid weather requires extra caution because the shoes that used to be moldy will be able to have it again.
