Review Pelvic Organ Prolapse

Symptoms Before Treatment
Over 10 years ago, I started experiencing urinary incontinence along with abdominal pain. I decided to see a doctor at a hospital, where I was diagnosed and underwent surgery to remove my uterus.
After that, I lived a normal life. However, about a year ago, the urinary incontinence symptoms returned and worsened. While outside, the symptoms were not severe, but at home, especially when I saw the bathroom,
I couldn't hold it in at all. Sometimes, I even wet myself on the way to the bathroom. There were also times when I felt like I couldn’t completely empty my bladder, making daily life quite challenging.

Visit to Vibhavadi Hospital
Initially, I was mentally prepared for another surgery. However, when I consulted with the doctor, after discussing my symptoms and undergoing an internal examination,
it was revealed that I had a condition called "Pelvic Organ Prolapse."

The doctor suggested two treatment options:

  1. Inserting a pessary to prevent the prolapse from worsening.
  2. Surgery, which carries risks due to my age and underlying health conditions. The doctor advised trying the pessary first, and if it wasn't effective,
surgery could be considered as a last resort.

Post-Pessary Symptoms
After the pessary was inserted, I immediately felt a difference. There was no longer a heavy or bulging feeling near the cervix. Upon returning home, my symptoms disappeared,
I could fully empty my bladder, and there were no more incidents of urinary incontinence. I was able to return to my normal daily routine without any discomfort or inconveniences.

Impression
The doctor provided thorough and attentive care, with a kind and considerate attitude. If anyone I know has similar symptoms, I would recommend Dr. Parit without hesitation,
as he offers tailored and appropriate treatment options for each individual.
