Review: Meniscus and Cartilage Surgery

Mr. Suraseth Chamnan-gan, 53 years old

came in with symptoms of left knee pain, tightness, and swelling after exercising. He was treated by Dr. Somsak Patyakorn. Initially, the treatment involved aspirating the joint fluid to relieve pressure
and reduce pain. The knee pain subsided but remained intermittent, and he was unable to bend his knee properly. In mid-2024, the doctor ordered an MRI, which revealed a tear in the inner meniscus
and damage to the cartilage in the knee joint.

He underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair the torn meniscus and damaged cartilage on September 18, 2024. After the surgery, his recovery was quick, with only small incisions, and the pain significantly
reduced. He was able to stand and walk, and by September 20, 2024, he was able to return home.
