Many individuals are concerned, though they might not admit it, that each summer their skin will suffer from the harshness of the sun. Ultraviolet rays, dust, smoke, and scorching winds can lead to skin that looks dry, dull, and wrinkled, adding years to your appearance. But fear not, these tips will help you take care of your skin:

  1. It is essential to cleanse your skin as part of a daily routine. We are constantly exposed to car exhaust, cigarette smoke, and other pollutants, so it is very important to keep our skin clean. For the face, use a product specifically designed for cleansing. This will help dissolve any cosmetic residue. When taking a shower, use soap with a mild acidity to maintain moisture. Avoid using hot water as the heat can damage the skin's natural coating and strip away moisture. Be gentle when washing your face and body - do not scrub the skin vigorously.
  2. To help fight aging, it is essential to nourish the skin daily. Apply a moisturizer or nourishing cream gently to the skin in the morning after bathing and before bedtime. It does not need to be an expensive brand of cream; any nourishing cream will do. At night, the skin is best able to absorb the nutrients from the cream.
  3. Protecting your skin from the sun is essential to keep it healthy and nourished. However, daily exposure to ultraviolet light increases the risk of developing skin cancer and reduces the blood flow and oxygen supply to the skin, leading to dryness, wrinkles, blemishes, freckles, and dark spots. To prevent these effects, sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 should be applied each day. If you don't want to apply too many creams, you can opt for a foundation or moisturizer that contains SPF.
  4. Take a break from your daily fatigue by taking a walk and breathing in some fresh air! Not only will it make you feel more relaxed, but it also gives your skin more oxygen. Did you know that if you've been feeling anxious from work, it causes the protein levels to fight the free radicals that damage your skin's health? The result is that your skin will start to dry and dull from a lack of moisture, eventually leading to a pale yellow complexion.
  5. In order to ensure optimal health and beauty, the Australian Dietetic Association recommends including a daily serving of fruits and vegetables in your diet. This should consist of five types of vegetables and two pieces of fresh fruit. If you are not a fan of eating fresh fruits and vegetables, blending them into smoothies is a great way to get the same benefits. Eating fruits and vegetables regularly will help to better excrete toxins from your body and provide the necessary vitamins and minerals for healthy and glowing skin. Give it a try and you may even find yourself addicted to this healthy habit!
  6. Drinking pure water is beneficial for the skin as it provides moisture to the skin cells, transports good nutrition to the skin, and helps the digestive system and kidneys to flush out waste. When we don't drink enough water, dirt accumulates in our body. Alcohol and caffeine are diuretics, meaning they act like a water thief from the skin, so if you do consume them, make sure to drink plenty of water to restore moisture. It is important to drink as much water as possible for optimum skin health.
  7. To reduce skin damage, it is important to abstain from smoking, drinking alcohol, managing stress levels, and getting enough rest. This is because these activities can further damage the skin by either increasing the number of free radicals or reducing antioxidant levels.
  8. Let's exercise! Jogging every morning helps the body to sweat, which improves waste excretion and overall health. Additionally, it is the simplest way of making the skin look better. This is due to the fact that exercise promotes the circulation of blood and enhances the body's ability to absorb oxygen and deliver nutrients to the skin cells.
