As the colder and drier weather approaches, individuals may have varying experiences with the winter season. Some people enjoy it, feeling refreshed and comfortable in the cool, dry air. However, others may dislike it and even fear the onset of winter due to certain issues that tend to arise during this time. For instance, as the weather changes, allergies tend to become more prevalent, causing itchy, dry, swollen eyes and runny noses. In some cases, it may even lead to sinus infections. This is due to inherited genetic allergies that are triggered by changes in the air such as dryness, dust, pollen, and even stress and lack of sleep. However, once winter arrives, these triggers usually disappear, and symptoms improve.

Some diseases also tend to occur during the winter season, such as respiratory infections, the flu, measles, and chickenpox, which are contagious viral infections that spread through the respiratory tract.

Therefore, we should take care of our health by exercising regularly, getting enough rest, and focusing on consuming vegetables and fruits, which are rich in vitamins and minerals, to prepare our bodies for the cold weather. Additionally, certain skin conditions tend to worsen during the cold and dry season, such as allergies, excessively dry and itchy skin, susceptibility to infections, and conditions like psoriasis or eczema. However, there's no need to worry, as long as we nurture and moisturize our skin, avoid hot baths, apply lotions or oils after showering to replenish and protect the skin, and wear clothing that covers the body tightly to reduce water evaporation from the skin to the atmosphere.

Most importantly, we must make ourselves vibrant, eliminate laziness, and keep our minds clear by having a complete and nutritious breakfast every day. Consuming brain-boosting foods from all categories, such as omega-3 from sardines, salmon, and tuna, and omega-6 from flaxseed oil or sunflower seed oil, while avoiding sugary foods or those high in sugar, and staying away from tea, coffee, alcoholic beverages, smoking, areas with cigarette smoke or pollution. Regular exercise and sufficient rest are also essential. If we follow these guidelines, I believe that everyone will not fear the winter season and will grow to appreciate it more.
