The Gastrointestinal Center provides the following services:
- Gastrointestinal diseases can be diagnosed and treated by surgery or endoscopy through these devices:
- Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) - an endoscopic procedure to examine your upper GI Tract
- Colonoscopy - an endoscopic procedure to examine your lower GI tract
- Foreign body removal
- Polypectomy - removal of polyp through the use of endoscopy for diagnosis or treatment
- EVS, EVL (Endoscopic Variceal Sclerotherapy and Ligation) – a procedure which involves compression and injection of hemp static agents to treat esophageal varices.
- PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) – a minimally invasive procedure which uses endoscopic equipment to insert a feeding tube into the stomach
- Hemoclip – a small clip used to stop bleeding in the upper GI tract.
