1. For radiation technicians, radiologists, and related staffs

• Strictly use all 3 radiation protection principles: time, distance, and shelter.
• Remain in a sheltered area whenever radiographs are performed for patients.
• If necessarily help to fix the patient, (in case of disability patients), wear a lead shirt every time.
• Always close the X-ray room and turn on the lights before X-rays.
• Wear a film badge every time.

 

2. For patients and their relatives

• Let the staff always be aware that repeat X-rays will cause the patient to receive double amount of radiation, so they should perform their duties with prudence.
• In case of pregnant patients, staffs should give the shelter to patients every time.
• Provide shielding staff to young children every time.
• Do not allow relatives in the X-ray room. If necessarily help to fix patients, a lead shirt must be worn at all times.
